About this experience
Embark on this epic 6-day Kilimanjaro Lemosho hiking adventure and enjoy thrilling scenic vistas and pristine wildlife on the way to the peak of Africa. This trail would be a great chice for regular hikers or fit travelers who are up to a challenge. Previous high-altitude experience would help to acclimate smoothly but is not mandatory.
You will cross several climatic zones (from heath on Shira Plateau to Arctic desert in the summit area), each different, unique and captivating.
Our professional climbing crews will take care of your safety and comfort. Overnight stays are in our walk-in tents (designed by us and customized for Kilimanjaro), the “kitchen” team will surprise you with their cooking skills, and the porters will carry all equipment. The guides will be leading your way, excitedly sharing their knowledge of this amazing Mount.
Pre and post-climb accommodation (included) will be in a hotel in the foothills of Kilimanjaro. Airport transfers included.

Planning perspective
How I’d plan this experience
A six-day Lemosho climb is a serious high-altitude undertaking, not simply a brisk hiking holiday. I’d consider it if you’re a regular hiker with moderate fitness, keen to take on a demanding challenge and comfortable spending nights in tents. Prior high-altitude experience may help, but it isn’t required. The organized airport pickup, hotel night before the climb and mountain crew support can ease the logistics; they don’t make the ascent physically easy.
Who this six-day climb suits
This option may appeal if you want a supported route and can manage sustained exertion at altitude. The first listed trekking day begins with a drive to the western entrance and a vehicle drop-off at 3,500 metres, followed by a walk to Shira 2 Camp. That combination makes the day’s walking less daunting than a long approach on foot, but you’re still beginning the trek high up.
I’d take the moderate-fitness guidance seriously rather than treating enthusiastic accounts of supportive guides as a measure of how easy the climb will feel. The itinerary itself cautions that the first camp is already at high altitude and recommends steady hydration and avoiding alcohol and caffeine from that point.
Know what the six days involve
The six-day label describes the climb, while the listed itinerary also includes an arrival day at the hotel before the trekking days. On arrival, there is an evening briefing; the following morning includes another briefing before the drive to the trailhead. Build your travel plans around that sequence rather than assuming you land and start hiking immediately.
The first trekking day is described as a moderate altitude gain and a relatively manageable walk to camp. That is useful context, but it is not evidence that the rest of the climb will be gentle: this is a high-altitude mountain expedition, and the supplied itinerary excerpt doesn’t provide the full sequence of later days.
What support is included—and what remains yours to plan
I’d value the included airport pickup, hotel accommodation and crew-provided camping setup if you want help with the practical structure of the trip. The listed inclusions specify branded group equipment and North Face tents, generally shared two hikers to a tent, with an exception for solo climbs. Mountain guides and porters are also described as part of the support.
Personal hiking clothing, boots and a sleeping bag are excluded, so don’t confuse supplied camp equipment with a complete personal kit. Flights and insurance are also not included; the listed guidance strongly recommends insurance that covers mountain trekking. Hotel lunches and dinners are separate as well.
The trade-off I’d weigh
Six days is the compact choice, but a short schedule leaves less room in the plan than a longer climb would. I’d choose it only if the limited duration matters enough to you to accept a demanding high-altitude challenge; the available details don’t provide a comparison of summit success rates or acclimatization outcomes, so I wouldn’t promise how your body will respond.
There is reassuring feedback about organized logistics and attentive crews, but that should be weighed alongside the practical limits: the listing advises against the trip for people with poor cardiovascular health, spinal injuries or pregnancy, and says travelers should have at least moderate fitness. This is a specific, strenuous commitment—not a fit for everyone.
